In the dual-mode version, operators can
switch from natural gas to traditional
fuel drive and vice versa, simply by pres-
sing a button. This dual-fuel engine is
suitable for use both in urban areas and
on suburban routes. The single-fuel (or
monovalent) version of the Sprinter NGT
boasts a methane-only engine.
This version of the Sprinter NGT is par-
ticularly popular for use in urban traffic.
The gas contained in the smaller tank
is used on engine start-up, and as a re-
serve supply. When the methane runs
out, the transition to standard fuel hap-
pens automatically, with no need for
driver intervention. The growth of the
distribution Network has contributed to
the increasing popularity of vehicles
equipped with this technology, including
among corporate fleets - the long jour-
neys made by these fleets are a key

trazione solo a metano. Lo Sprinter monovalente

riserva. Ad esaurimento del metano il passaggio
alla trazione a benzina avviene automaticamente,
